My philosophy is that my photos should capture those precious and fleeting moments that we experience that we know too well will be quickly stolen away by time.

For that purpose I always ensure that I spend a little time getting to know what is special about your children and what style of photo you would like for your home.

My photo sessions are relaxed and fun and take place in the home or on-location. So I can capture those natural moments that we see in real life, I like to work with natural light. I do also have a portable studio for those who wish to include studio style portraits in their package.

WHAT DO WE WEAR?

On the day of the photo shoot it is great if you can have a few outfits at the ready, a simple white shirt and denim jeans or pretty dress is always lovely, as are clothes with bright bold colours. If you intend to have group shots, it's good if you can choose clothes that work well together.

I have a variety of backgrounds from which you can choose, such as vivid white, blue, chocolate, black or red. I will also look around your home and there will always be a lovely background to a portrait that is personal and unique to your family.

WHAT DO WE DO?

Keeping kids busy with things they love to do produces the most naturally beautiful pictures. If you want photos in a particular location, such as the beach or a country setting, these places can also set the scene for magnificent portraits.

If you prefer a studio style of portrait, I also have studio lights that I will bring to your home, and once we have set up the backdrops and lights, we will work together to create a beautiful portrait, whether it be serene and gentle or bright and full of laughter.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The photographic shoot lasts about 2 hours and I take around 120 photos.

I tend to make bookings in the afternoon to make the most of the best natural light, but I understand that working around sleeps is just as important. On the day of the shoot, if bub needs a sleep, please feel free to call to arrange a change of time.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SHOOT?

After the photographic shoot, I choose the best photos from the day and handcraft each one individually.

Within 3 weeks you will receive a secure and personal online gallery of anywhere from 60 to 100+ portraits.

If you do not have access to the internet, we can arrange a time for you to view them on my computer.

Your online gallery will be available for as long as you need to decide, and will only be accessible to those to whom you provide the password.

Once you have made your selection, an email or phone call is all that is needed to tell me which portraits you want printing. Your order is then sent to a professional printing laboratory and your photographs are printed on Kodak professional photographic materials for long term archival display.

Once your order is printed, your photographs will be hand-delivered or mailed to you.
